Monetise your conviction.

The problem FlashDuels solves

People are already speculating on memes, influencers, and ideas, but there’s no platform to own, trade, or monetize those beliefs. There’s no scoreboard for conviction.

Prediction markets are too rigid.
Fantasy games are too abstract.
Betting apps are too shallow.
None of them let you monetize conviction at the speed of internet discourse.

FlashDuels turns any narrative into a high-stakes, tradable market - instantly.
It gives users the tools to create, trade, and resolve markets on trending debates, events, or ideas without needing technical knowledge or waiting for centralized platforms to list them.

Unique insights

  1. People want to express belief, not just predict outcomes. They’re not analysts and they want a scoreboard.
  2. Fun > accuracy. Like fantasy sports or meme coins, people play to win social capital, not just money.
  3. Markets don’t have to be rational. They just have to be real-time. FlashDuels embraces narrative volatility, and creating natural market discovery for the most favourable outcome.
  4. The next breakout in consumer crypto won’t look like finance. It’ll look like a game, a groupchat, or a social feed - crypto is the only possible way to fuel this new user behaviour.

Challenges I ran into

  1. FlashDuels draws from prediction markets, fantasy, meme trading, and InfoFi, yet belongs to none. Differentiating required building not just features, but a new narrative category. Inspired by Paradigm’s Multiverse thesis, we adopted a laddered rollout to guide users into this new behavior - starting with duels, expanding to leagues, then seasonal token economies.

  2. Fair Resolution: Built an off-chain resolver using oracle data to settle 60-min duels instantly. But as the markets scale will need verifiable method such as ZKTLS.

  3. Liquidity Without Order Books: Designed a Peer-to-peer model that scales volume without fragmenting liquidity.

  4. Preventing Sybil Abuse: Added a bonding curve, min bets, creation fees, and creator stakes to keep bots out and skin-in-the-game real.

  5. UX for GenZ (particularly non-crypto users): Rebuilt the interface from scratch to feel like a tinder app on mobile - quick swipe left or right.
